|1,000 Books Before Kindergarten|
Families are invited to join the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
program at the library.
This nationwide program encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children. By reading just one book a night, families can reach the 1,000-book goal in three years and provide their children essential early literacy skills.
The library's 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a fun, exciting, and free way to start your child on the path to success. Any child under 5 years of age can participate.
Stop by the library any time to register and pick up a reading log for the first 100 books. After each 100 books, your child will receive a special sticker and place their name on the 1,000 Books Wall of Fame. After 1,000 books, your child will receive a book tote and Dr. Seuss book.
