|Adult Summer Reading 2017|
From a personal to global level, the library hopes to inspire you to "Build a Better World" this summer.
Whether you prefer the traditional way of reading or the electronic method, or even listening to a book on audio, there is nothing quite like the feeling when you obtain information you can use to improve your life or the lives of others.
The library is giving all adults an opportunity this summer to "Build a Better World" — and have several opportunities to win prizes.
Adults can win prizes just by reading through August 5. All you have to do is be at least 18 years of age and fill out a Book Review slip at the library for each book you read (or listen to). The final prize drawing will be held August 5. The more times you enter, the better your chance of winning.
And all entrants will be entered in the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a Fitbit 2 Charge wristband.
Congratulations to the winners in our first drawing: Buildings & Landmarks Quiz — Amanda Flaugher (Blanchester), Snow Cone Maker; and Ronda Kreusch (Clarksville), Portable Grill/Charcoal; Reading Entries — Kathy Bartolotta (Blanchester), Beverage Glasses/Tray; Dan Hamm (Blanchester), Picnic Blanket; and Kayla Daniel (Blanchester), Beach Towel Set.
Library users also may win prizes by participating in three trivia contests. Prizes will be awarded based on the most correct answers, with the final drawing also August 5. For more information and entry sheets, please visit the library.
In addition to the grand prize drawing, all summer reading participants also will be automatically eligible for the three runners-up prizes: $50 store gift cards to Kroger, Subway and Barnes & Noble.
"Build a Better World" is sponsored by the Friends of the Blanchester Public Library and First National Bank of Blanchester.
