|Big news for 2020|
The Blanchester Public Library will feature two major new conveniences in 2020!
First, the library is now fine free. This means we have eliminated all overdue fines for books, audiobooks, magazines, and DVDs. And all previous overdue fines on patrons' accounts have been eliminated effective Jan. 1.
Fines continue to be $1 per day for mobile hotspots; and the library still charges fees for lost, non-returned, and damaged items. Check here for more information.
Second, all items will be automatically renewed for you on the due date. You no longer need to worry about contacting the library to renew your item.
There are still the maximum number of renewals allowed for various items (3 for everything except for DVDs, new books, and mobile hotspots which are 1), and items that have a hold on them can not be renewed. Upon renewal, a notice will be sent via e-mail detailing the new due dates and indicating any items that were unable to be renewed.
Patrons with more than 2 overdue items will not be able to check out additional items.
