Solar Eclipse |
The library is providing a couple of additional ways to prepare for the total solar eclipse that will cross North America on April 8. Blanchester is near the path of totality, and one thing you need to fully enjoy a solar eclipse is a pair of solar glasses. The library has free solar glasses available, with a limit of 5 per household. Just visit the library to pick up your glasses. Also, for a final preparation, the library will host a Pre-Solar Eclipse Party for all ages from 1-2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 6. You will learn about the sun and get ready for the eclipse with crafts and activities. Each program attendee also will receive a free pair of solar glasses. The next total solar eclipse that will be viewable from North America will not be until 2044, so you do not want to miss this one. The program is free and open to the public.
